Making A Difference At Making Books Sing

Making Books Sing is a family of artists, educators, volunteers, individual donors, institutional funders and other committed supporters who, together, bring the highest standards of artistry, content and education to children across New York City and beyond.  This school year, more than 12,000 children will depend on our family in order to have access to theatre as a vehicle for engaged learning about themselves and the world around them.

You can help by “Making a Difference at Making Books Sing.”

Donate Online
Make a tax-deductible donation. Your gift, at an amount best suited to your budget, ensures our stability and continued service to children. You may also send a check to Making Books Sing, 340 East 46th Street, New York, NY 10017.

Join Our Setting-the-Standard Circle
Our stellar standards need stellar people to make them happen. By sponsoring live music at our performances, commissions, design enhancements, or an artist in a school or shelter, you are directly responsible for helping us reach our high bar.

Attend our Benefit and Parties
Throughout the year, Making Books Sing hosts fun parties and elegant benefits to build our family of friends and supporters.

Participate in a Shopping Night
On designated days, Kenneth Cole and Barnes & Noble donate a portion of sales to our programs in shelters and high-poverty neighborhoods. By turning out for the events and making a purchase, you help raise thousands of dollars to serve our most needy children.

Apply for an Employer Matching Gift
Your donation could go much further if your employer has a Matching Gift Program.  Ask your organization’s Human Resource Manager for a matching gift form.

Volunteer
Making Books Sing has many opportunities for you to lend your time and expertise.  Consider what is right for you from wrapping gifts during our Barnes & Noble fundraiser to serving on our Board of Directors. We welcome your involvement.
